Odèd (Oded Shechter) is a Tel Aviv based singer-songwriter who grew up in the northern part of Israel – a countryside surrounded by fields. The gap between his fast paced city life and the landscapes of his childhood is in the heart of his warm yet modern sound.
Influenced by a variety of genres – from folktronica to indie-pop, his unique voice guides simple, intimate songs while the production creates a sense of ambience. The result is reminiscent of both “classic” and contemporary folk/pop artists: Damien Rice, Bon Iver, Sigur Ros and Sufjan Stevens to name a few.
After touring both Israel and Italy, Oded has released in October 2018 a video for his debut single “Morning Grace” taken from his debut album “Kiss The Sun”, which was released during 2019.
Mark Buckley from british label\music magazine Analogue Trash writes about “Morning Grace”: “Struggling with the need to escape his inner thoughts and to express his love for another, the stark simplicity of the words manages to convey some very abstract and complex feelings, a perfect allegory for the nature of love itself.”
